Hi everyone, Long time lurkers, (10 years) first time poster. I have a bad habit of swapping out cars all the time (30 + since I was 16) Which in turn should make a interesting post/posts for the future .
This is our most recent acquisition, a 2020 Mercedes Benz GLB. Not going to lie first brand new semi luxury car I have bought, and we are not disappointed at all. We live in Georgetown CO.

I like the GLB’s look. The only one I’ve seen in person though was incessantly tailgating me on the highway.

Welcome to Oppo! Two new faces in one day, wow.
Are you sure your SUV is supposed to be on dirt like that? Hehe. It's good. Those cars are pretty distinctive looking for what they are. How does it drive?

These look great. Proportions are perfect, which is hard to come by in crossovers.

LOL, if not it better get used to it. Most of our roads around here are shmutz. drives really nice for crossover. I think expected being it shares the platform with the CLA and those handle preety damn good. The 2.0L turbo is the real trick to this pony. Zero lag, and just wants to go 80 mph no matter how you drive it. MPG in the first 1900 miles mostly highway averaging 33.4 mpg. Pretty damn good.

Lol, does it do my cred any good that I have owned 3 different miatas? a 95 M-edition, 2004 stocker, and 2018 ND Club sport. Along with so many other odd cars.

Good job hiding the godawful construction area on the other side of the lake!

I am conflicted AF. On one hand, a set of 19 to 20" AMG takeoffs would look so good especially with a half inch less gap.
On other hand, some Falken Wildpeak A/Ts would also be mean on this thing. Keep it stock height, bump the tire sidewall size up 1 measurement. And now my Benz looks the part by a lake.
This is our nice weather vehicle. I also have a 2019 T4R OR

Wrong lake my friend. This is clear lake up the pass. :-)Now the main lake you are spot on, give it 6 months to get cleaned up. First construction we have seen in this area in 20 years. Not my cup of tea, but the brewery by the lake is pretty damn cool.

Ah, I j ust saw the thumbnail on my phone and didn’t pay enough attention . Just realized there should’ve been a couple houses on the right side anyway if this was the one by the highway. I used to run the half marathon up there and parking where those townhomes are going up was always terrifying with the lack of clearance in my old car.

Welcome aboard! They used to tell new posters “welcome aboard and stay out of the basement” It’s been years and I still have no clue what that means.

That mpg is only a few off of my automatic NA compact so that’s pretty impressive.
The roads around where I live are generally pretty good because of no snow and highish taxes so maybe I'm just spoiled. I've just never particularly noticed better ride quality in a crossover vs sedan.

We shopped this verse the Q3, NX300, and the X1. BMW didn’t even get a test drive knowing zero BSM available, and the emergency stop on that particular vehicle received a f- in numerous reviews.

AT's 100%. Do not lower it, especially if it's going to deal with colorado winters.

We do also own a 2019 Toyota 4Runner ORP for the really bad weather. That is where I get conflicted. B/C if the right set of 20" AMG takeoffs were to show up on craigslist for non-rape prices.... Pretty sure I would go that route. But that is only if I luck out. Personally I hate run-flats. fuck these noisy tires, and if pressed to replace one I would just switch out to Falken Wildpeaks in same size the Benz has. Plus it would look sweet with knobbys, and cost half the price of the lowering idea. Alas the conflicted part.

Personally I think lowered crossovers and SUV's of any kind look dumb, so no conflict for me. Go for the wheels if you want/find them, but leave it stock height.
